It’s breaking our hearts to read stories of stray cats who are abandoned on the streets and have to survive in horrible conditions. But thankfully, many kind people find these poor cats and take them home, where they are loved and nursed every day.
Meet Dinah, a stray kitten who once was thrown out onto the street, but now lives in a loving home! Dinah was spotted laying on the street in July 2019 by a girl named Molly Sotak. The cat was in very bad shape and needed a vet immediately.
“She was like skin and bones. I think I was keeping a tab on her for probably about four or five days before I was actually able to catch her,” Molly told The Dodo.
Molly contacted the Stray Cat Alliance for help, and they agreed to take the kitten in. They got the cat a medical check-up and nursed her back to health.
“Well, the black on her face is fleas and flea dirt! Her whole body is infested with fleas. She is emaciated, dehydrated, has a severe upper respiratory infection and painful ulcers on her tongue, which are consistent with calicivirus. Between the congestion and ulcers, no wonder she can’t eat. She is now getting flea meds, antibiotics, and IV fluids,” wrote Stray Cat Alliance on their Instagram about Dinah’s medical condition.
Thankfully, she quickly healed and even found a perfect home. Now, Dinah is a happy and a healthy cat who loves her new owners and make them happy.
